Can this device work with a computer with a Thunderbolt 2 interface?

Applicable models: D2 Thunderbolt 3, TD2 Thunderbolt 3 , TD2 Thunderbolt 3 Plus, D4 Thunderbolt 3(D4-330), D5 Thunderbolt 3(D5-330), D8 Thunderbolt 3(D8-330)

To use the TerraMaster Thunderbolt 3 device on a Mac computer with a Thunderbolt 2 interface, several steps must be followed:

1. The TerraMaster Thunderbolt 3 device is not directly compatible with a Thunderbolt 2 interface. You will require a Thunderbolt 3-to-Thunderbolt 2 adapter and you must use a certified Thunderbolt 2 cable;

2. Only the Thunderbolt 3-to-Thunderbolt 2 adapter provided by Apple is acceptable; third-party versions will not work;

3. Only certified Thunderbolt 2 cables are allowed, as any uncertified cables may cause connection failure.

Using a Thunderbolt 3-to-Thunderbolt 2 adapter.

1. Plug the Thunderbolt 3 connector into the Thunderbolt 3 interface on your TerraMaster device;

2. Connect one end of the Thunderbolt 2 cable to the Thunderbolt 2 connector of the adapter;

3. Connect the other end of the Thunderbolt 2 cable to the Thunderbolt 2 connector of your Mac computer.
